KMEIA WA: Kodály Connect Albany

Ideas, Games and Inspiration: A half-day PD packed with activities you can take straight to your classroom.

Whether you are a classroom teacher or an instrumental teacher, come along to experience Kodály-inspired ideas that will engage your learners and support their musical skills. Fun and hands-on activities and ideas to take straight to your students.

Please join us for a social lunch after the workshop at View Restaurant, Albany Entertainment Centre (note that lunch is optional and is at your own cost).

Presenter: Jason Boron

Jason Boron is Lecturer in Music Education at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. He is an experienced music educator having taught in early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary settings. In 2013, Jason established the first Every Day Music program in Western Australia at Presbyterian Ladies’ College. He has served in executive roles for both the Australian Society for Music Education and the KMEIA, is coordinator of the WA Australian Kodály Certificate Course, and currently chairs the 2018 Kodály National Conference Organising Committee. Jason is a past recipient of the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship awarded by the International Kodály Society. He graduated in 2016 with a Master of Arts (in Kodály Music Pedagogy) with highest honours from the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music, Hungary.

Cost: KMEIA Members – $50, Non-Members – $65,
Tertiary Student Members – Free, Tertiary Student Non-Members – $40 (includes KMEIA Membership)
