Victorian Branch

The Victorian Branch is run by a dedicated committee of volunteers. Some of our activities include:

1. Teacher training courses

Comprehensive and accredited training courses that teach repertoire, pedagogy and the Kodaly concept for educators of Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary levels.

2. Workshops

Regular workshops throughout the year that explore skills, techniques and resources for music teachers.

3. Newsletters

Our regular newsletters aim to keep you informed of the latest events, provide a forum for sharing ideas and resources and offer professional reading.

4. Conferences

Regular national and state conferences featuring noted Australian and International educators.

5. Choral festivals

We run festivals for Primary, Secondary and Community choirs that showcase the diverse range of choral singing taking place in Victoria. These festivals offer various choirs important opportunities for performance and opportunities to hear other groups perform.

Collegiality and Networking

Our branch has a strong community focus. We understand how important it is for you to have opportunities to network with other teachers and what a support these networks can be to your teaching. We offer various social dinners throughout the year and our workshops are structured so you get to meet and interact with like-minded teachers.
