Sarah Brooke lectures in The Creative Arts at La Trobe University. She has hundreds of years of teaching experience and has presented workshops throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the US. She has completed her Orff levels training and has enjoyed the Orff Institute Summer School and the Laban International Course in England.
Nicole Alexander first discovered the Orff approach at a workshop in Toronto, Canada during her B.Ed studies. She is currently the Music and Performing Arts teacher at The Patch Primary School in the Dandenongs where she teaches music classes, choirs, percussion and recorder ensembles and a rock band. She is a violinist with a strong interest in folk music and improvisation.
Mark O'Leary, M.Mus B.Mus.Ed, Churchill Fellow, is the founder and Director of the Young Voices of Melbourne, and the publisher of the Young Voices of Melbourne Choral Series. He is also the Principal Guest Conductor of Gondwana Voices, Australia’s national children’s choir. He has special interests in Kodaly teaching techniques, the development of excellence in music education and children's choirs, and Australian choral music. Mark will be presenting his session on choir repertoire.
Allison Harrigan, M.Mus. B.Mus. (Hons), holds a Masters degree in Choral Conducting & Aural Training from the University of Queensland. Prior to her recent move to Sydney in July this year, she has been a lecturer for the Kodaly music education teacher training courses in Victoria for the past three years. Allison will be presenting her session on conducting.
