Music In Your Classroom – An Introduction to Kodaly ES1/S1 Registrations: nsw@kodaly.org.au

See how a sequential, developmental music program can be integrated into your day. Take home ideas for musical lesson breaks, singing games, and more. No prior music knowledge required.This session provides classroom teachers with easy to use ideas for incorporating music throughout the day in your classroom. Make use of the percussion and sound makers you have at hand, add some movement and create some simple but effective assembly items.

Presented by:

Julie Logan is an experienced classroom practitioner and lecturer in music education. Julie has lectured at the University of Newcastle and for the Australian Kodaly Certificate courses in Sydney and has presented papers at national and international conferences on music education. Julie supports teachers across Australia in developing music programs that are inclusive, challenging and engaging.

Jane Porst holds the Australian Kodaly Certificate in Early Childhood Music Education and is a music consultant at Old Bar PS, the Mid North Coast Conservatorium of Music and runs a busy private voice studio.
