Our Patrons share an interest in the goals and vision of the Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia.
Our current Patron is Dr Géza Szilvay from Finland. Professor Szilvay and his brother Csaba Szilvay are co-authors of the Colourstrings string teaching method based on Zoltán Kodaly’s philosophy of music education.
Previous Patrons have included Hungarian Ambassadors based in Canberra and Consul-Generals based in Sydney, along with Professor Erzsébet Szőnyi, noted composer and Director of the School Music Department, Franz Liszt Academy, Budapest, and the late Professor Noel Nickson, Foundation Professor of Music at the University of Queensland.
